Physical Therapy in Pasadena, CA
Get back to the activities you love without unnecessary surgery or endless appointments. Our performance-focused physical therapy helps active adults and athletes in Pasadena move better, recover faster, and build lasting strength—so you can stay in the game for years to come.
You're In Pain — And It's Stealing Your Identity
When you're injured, it's not just about the pain. You can't train the way you used to. You can't keep up with your kids. You're stuck on the sidelines watching life happen around you. The worst part? Your doctor probably told you to "take it easy" or "just rest"—but that's not who you are. You didn't build an active lifestyle just to give it up.
You've Been Told to Stop
Doctors suggest rest, injections, or even surgery—but no one's given you a real plan to get back to full function.
Traditional PT Isn't Working
You're juggling multiple patients with a PT who barely knows your name. Cookie-cutter exercises aren't addressing the root cause.
Your Active Life Is on Hold
Every day you wait is another day away from running, lifting, hiking, or playing with your family. Time is your most valuable asset.
Performance Physical Therapy Built for Your Lifestyle
At The Movement Clinic, we don't just treat your pain—we get you back to peak performance. Our Pasadena physical therapy practice was designed for people like you: active adults and athletes who refuse to settle for "good enough."
We use data-driven assessments, hands-on manual therapy, and customized programming to solve the root problem, not just mask symptoms.
True 1-on-1 care: Every session is 60 minutes with a Board Certified Doctor of Physical Therapy—no aides, no distractions.
Fast, measurable results: Most patients see significant improvement within 2-3 visits using force plate analysis and biomechanical testing.
Built for the long haul: We don't just fix the injury—we teach you how to stay strong, mobile, and injury-free for life.
"I had been dealing with shin pain for about a year that would not go away. I finally decided to go to physical therapy at The Movement Clinic and it changed my life! I specifically picked The Movement Clinic because it's a sports medicine facility that allows me to continue and workout while doing 12 weeks of PT. I was gearing up for a half marathon and I am happy to say that I ran the whole thing with no shin pain and was able to shave an hour off of my previous half marathon time! Thank you so much to Dr. John! I would highly recommend The Movement Clinic for any sports related injuries."

We have answers!
-
The care you will receive from our providers is unparalleled to your typical in-network physical therapy experience in Pasadena.
Your PT will never be seeing multiple patients at the same time, pass you off to a volunteer/aide, or have you work through the same ‘cookie-cutter’ exercises week in and week out.
Your entire visit is spent 1:1 with one of our highly specialized Doctors of Physical Therapy where we will clearly outline the root factors contributing to your pain experience and lay out a game plan for a path to recovery.
-
Yes, as an out-of-network provider in Pasadena, we provide you with all the necessary paperwork (‘superbills’) that give you the opportunity to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
-
We are problem solvers! You will receive 60 minutes of focused 1 on 1 care at our Pasadena clinic and each visit is with a highly specialized Doctor of Physical Therapy. We take you through our three step process where we listen and learn about your situation, assess your body, and develop a road map to getting you better than you were before your injury.
-
This depends on your specific situation, diagnosis, and goals. In most cases, we have you feeling significant improvement in a matter of 2-3 visits.
We strive to minimize the number of sessions you need by providing you with the tools, education, and understanding of how to recover to be better than you were before needing PT.
Recovering from an injury is never black and white; however, we look to provide you with a road map for your recovery through a customized, collaborative plan with one of our expert clinicians.
-
Physical therapy is a different approach than taking something like a pill or injection. We are looking to address your problem through bodily changes that take dedication, time, and consistency throughout each week.
Between visits, you will be provided a list of exercises via custom video recordings and education on how you can best keep yourself active, moving, and exercising.
All the while, you have the ability to maintain open communication with your PT for any questions or guidance you need between visits.
